🌟 Weekly DIY Hair Care Routine for Growth & Scalp Health

🗓 Weekly Schedule:

Day Routine
Sunday Pre-poo + Wash + Deep Condition + Oil Seal
Wednesday Scalp Massage + Hydration Refresh
Friday Moisturize + Light Oil Seal

🧖🏾♀️ Sunday – Wash Day (Growth & Hydration Focus)

1. Pre-Poo Treatment (before shampoo)

Pre-poo protects your hair from moisture loss during washing.
Mix:

  • Warm coconut oil + aloe vera gel + a few drops of rosemary or tea tree oil
Apply to: Hair and scalp, cover with plastic cap for 30 mins.

2. Gentle Shampoo (Sulfate-Free)

Use a hydrating or anti-dandruff natural shampoo (look for ingredients like tea tree oil, neem, or apple cider vinegar).
Focus on scalp cleansing without over-stripping natural oils.

3. Deep Conditioning Mask (Weekly Must!)

DIY Option:

  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 ripe banana (blended)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 egg yolk (optional protein boost)
Leave on for 30–45 minutes with a shower cap. Rinse thoroughly.

4. Moisturize + Seal

  • Use a water-based leave-in conditioner.
  • Follow with a thick oil or cream like shea butter, castor oil, or a custom oil blend (castor + rosemary + jojoba).
This locks in moisture and keeps hair soft throughout the week.

💆🏾♀️ Wednesday – Scalp Stimulating Midweek Boost

1. Scalp Massage (5–10 min)

Use warm oil (castor + peppermint + tea tree oil).
Gently massage your scalp using your fingertips or a scalp brush.
This increases blood flow and stimulates hair follicles.

2. Hydration Refresh (LCO Method)

  • Liquid: Spray hair with aloe vera juice or water.
  • Cream: Use a lightweight cream or leave-in.
  • Oil: Seal ends with oil.

This combats dryness and encourages length retention.

🌿 Friday – Moisture Top-Up + Scalp Refresh

  • Light mist with aloe vera water or DIY herbal spray (green tea + peppermint + rosemary water).
  • Apply light oil to scalp and ends.
  • Finger-detangle gently if needed.
